These are exactly my thoughts on the current state of IndieWeb, I couldn’t agree more. I just wanted to point out Known as something initially aimed at Generations 4 and 3 with their hosted solution, but didn’t really live up to expectations. I myself have been pushed from Gen. 4 to Gen. 3 in 2015 by virtue of Known existing, but problems with their hosted solution forced me to Gen. 2 with a slight drift to Gen. 1 by now. And while I myself am quite happy about where I am as a result, had I known what rocky road was waiting for me back in 2015, I wouldn’t even step on it in the first place.
